Top 100 Best Things to Eat in Edmonton - 2018

Wow, for the 4th year in  row we have been selected as One of the Top 100 Best Things to Eat in Edmonton! Once again I want to thank all our wonderful customers who love our fudge and continue to support us. THANK YOU!

As we come out out of our slow season we continue developing new, interesting fudge flavours; look for them throughout the year. We are in the process of negotiating a multi-year extension to our lease as we plan to be around for years to come! We are also busy developing our website to automate and streamline our Fundraising and Wholesale orders. That should roll out in a month or two. Until next time, take care and be kind to each other.

Hope a bit o'Irish luck and a bit o'Irish cheer will snuggle down inside your heart and stay throughout the year!

2018 Golden Forks Awards

2018 Golden Forks Awards

Another year and six more awards! I'd like to thank all my wonderful customers who have and continue to support us. Only one other business won as many awards. We are honoured by your support. 

We are coming out of our slow period and you'll be seeing us at many trade shows throughout the province and into Saskatchewan and BC. Late last year we purchased a brand new van to help us pack around the growing quantities of fudge that we need to take to these shows. We even purchased more equipment to help with the Christmas rush.

We are looking forward to a great year, and if these awards are any indication, it will be a great year indeed!

Go OILERS!

The Oilers have made it into the second round so we continue to salute them with our Oiler Crush fudge! Suggested by Sweet Convenience here in Edmonton this fudge has been a big hit with Oliers fans all over the province.It's blue and orange (of course) and tastes like Creamsicle. We'll only be making it for the playoffs so show your team support and get some now. So Many New Flavours

So Many New Flavours

Winter is a relatively slow time for us...but we stay busy. We are creating over 20 new flavours! One of the latest creations is our Ketchup fudge; created with our award winning, deliciously creamy fudge. We used pre-teens and teens as our test panel and they unanimously gave it their thumbs up! In fact, one of them posted it on Instagram before we even announced it! We also recently brought back our Garlic fudge due to customer demand...it won't stay around long so if you want it order it now. I won't post each new flavour here, but they'll be on our Products page as we role them out so check back often..or sign up for our Newsletter or join our Fudge Club and be the first to try some of our new creations.

3 YEARS IN A ROW!

We've been busy! For the THIRD year in a row we have been chosen as ONE of the TOP 100 BEST THINGS to EAT in EDMONTON! Thank you to all our wonderful customers who took the time to give us your vote.

Business has been steadily growing, even during the tough times here in Alberta. So I have bought additional equipment to keep up with the orders. And I anticipate hiring 2-3 more people in the upcoming months. So to those of you who decided to keep your money in Alberta it really does work!

Rum Fruitcake

Rum Fruitcake

Growing up it seems I was the only one who actually liked fruitcake. I suppose a lot of it was dry, but I still loved the texture as I bit into the cake, and of course the more fruit and rum the better! I have taken my love of all those things and developed this Rum Fruitcake fudge. It's a decadent, creamy fudge loaded with all the holiday favourites - candied fruit (orange, lemon, pineapple, cherries, and rutabaga), raisins, pecans, and, of course, rum! Well, here on the Prairies winter is knocking at the door! Nights are below 0 C and we're lucky if the daytime high hits double digits. Now is the time to start a roaring fire in the fireplace for those cozy family evenings. And what goes great with cold nights and a roaring fire? Hot chocolate and marshmallows or course! At this time of year we make a deliciously creamy Hot Chocolate fudge that you can enjoy with the fire or any other time. Made with our award winning deliciously creamy chocolate fudge and ooey gooey mini marshmallows. Surprise the family and treat them to some today!

Saskatoon Berry Fudge

I was born and raised in Montreal and had never even heard of Saskatoon berries. When I moved out west I had them for the first time and loved them! Sweet, but tangy too. This summer Katrina and I were discussing new flavours and she suggested Saskatoon Berry fudge. That was a no brainer! We looked for a supplier of Saskatoon berries and eventually found Sherbrooke Fruits. (Check them out, they have a very interesting story.) I talked with them and they provided us with exactly what we needed! Our Saskatoon Berry fudge is loaded with Saskatoon berries. It is a delicious sweet creamy fudge with just a hint of tang. I love it, I hope you do too.

Cinnamon Bun Fudge

Cinnamon Bun Fudge

Who doesn't love waking up in the morning to the smell of fresh cinnamon buns baking in the oven? Butter, brown sugar, and, of course, the cream cheese icing! This was our inspiration when we created Cinnamon Bun fudge several years ago. This is my personal favourite at the moment. Besides the overall taste, I love the texture of this fudge; our fudge is deliciously creamy, but the brown sugar and butter layer in the centre of this fudge gives a hit of roughness. Combine that with the thick layer of smooth cream cheese fudge on top and a hot cup of coffee and I'm in heaven! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
